Preset SDK Configuration
Customizing our Anyline SDK in order to scan Scrabble began as a fun project within an internal hackathon, but definitely showed that Mobile OCR has lots of different kinds of fields of application nobody has thought of yet.
A board game that consists of players who form words by placing little tiles, each baring a single letter, would not come to mind as the perfect place to start when looking into OCR applications. Still, there are many use cases, where connecting the board game with the online world makes so much sense!

Scan Scrabble to get best combination
You’ve always sucked at playing Scrabble? We’ve got some Scrabble fanatics within the Anyline team and that’s why we’ve decided to develop a “Scrabble Anagram Builder” at first with our SDK. It can probably be called something like a cheater, but let’s not be too strict.
By simply scanning the little tiles with the letters on them, the Scrabble implementation shows all the different words possible. Fascinating things happen once you digitise board games! And just like that – you don’t suck at Scrabble anymore!

If you are right in the middle of a game of scrabble and you are not sure if your opponent is actually presenting you with an actual word, or just tricking you into thinking that he has magically thought of a very fancy word – let your smartphone help in verifying! Scan the letters on the Scrabble tiles, and get the results via a database lookup (e.g. Duden)!
