About Anyline
What we do: Optical Character Recognition
Optical character recognition, or OCR, defines the process of mechanically or electronically converting scanned images of digital, typed or printed text into machine-encoded text. Put in simpler words, OCR is the technology to extract all information from an image into editable data. This data can then be further processed. We speak of MOBILE OCR, when this software works on mobile devices such as smartphones, smart glasses or any device with a camera. That’s exactly what Anyline does.
And what is an SDK?
The Anyline OCR comes as a Software Development Kit (SDK) which is a toolbox for developers. This toolbox is a programming package, which contains different modules and enables the development for a certain software/platform. The Anyline OCR SDK can be implemented in any kind of mobile application and can be adapted to the developers needs.
Core Features
Cross-platform Support
Anyline runs on a C++ core, enabling easy integration on all major mobile platforms. Currently it supports iOS, Android and (in some cases) Windows Phone. There are also Cordova and Xamarin and React Native Plugins, as well as a Beta Titanium Extension available.
Offline Scanning
Anyline works directly on the smartphone and does not need a server connection in order to process images. This means you receive instant feedback while scanning and a close-to-real-time result.
